Biographical Info: I left Pittsburgh in 1967 to join the Air Force. After 4 years of duty, I returned to Pittsburgh and lived there until 1997. In 1997 I relocated because of my job to the Philadelphia PA area. I am a Regional Manager for Corporate Express in their Strategic Merchandising Services Division.

I have 3 children: Rick, Christine and Michael. They have also relocated from the Pittsburgh area. Rick lives in Virginia, Christine in Florida, and Michael in Ohio. Biographical Info: BS(69) MS(73) Penn State-Engineering Mechanics; An Extractive HydroMetallurgist by profession. Lived in Marietta, Ohio for 6 years before moving to South Texas in 1976. Assisted in the development of in-situ leaching, an innovated mining process used world wide for uranium extraction which is environmentally benign when compared to open-pit and underground techniques. Biographical Info: Following graduation, I gained employment at Pittsburgh Testing Laboratories until my induction into the USAF in May of '66. I was trained as a refueling specialist and spent my enlistment in Alaska and Japan. I was one of the fortunate ones to avoid Viet Nam. While on leave between Alaska and Japan, Bonnie and I married and she traveled to Japan to join me. Once I received my discharge in '70, we returned to the 'Burg and I went back to work at PTL, where I remained until a shake up in '98. I also tended bar at various clubs for about 27 years and still work (2 nights a week) at the Tarentum Station Restaurant. I am now retired on disability since '01 due to a heart attack in '95 and a few other medical problems.
Bonnie and I have one daughter, Nicole, born in '76. She married in '98 and has since given us two beautiful grandsons, Mikey ('99) and Tommy ('02), whom I get to see almost every day. Mikey has some developmental delays due to Prader-Willi Syndrome, and Nicole and her husband rely on us a great deal for emotional support and care for both boys, so my ill health and employment situation have some advantages.

Biographical Info: After graduating Peabody High, I briefly attended Ohio State University. Then I worked for a few years, attended and completed Computer Systems Institute, worked for a few more years in auto insurance and some computer programming, spent quite a few years raising a family. By the grace of God and His strength, guidance and help, was able to do this, as well as go on to attend CCAC and University of Pittsburgh, graduating in 1997 with a BASW in Social Work. Spent the last seven years working as a caseworker in Child Welfare. Have been studying Hebrew for the last several years. Hopefully would like to visit Israel some day.

Biographical Info: Rich and I have been married for 35 years. We have two married daughters. Michelle lives in Chicago with her husband and sons aged 4, and 1 ½ year-old twins. Meredith lives in North Hills with her husband and sons, aged 3 and 1 ½.

I was a stay-at-home mom until 1983 when I opened Simply Delicious, a restaurant and catering business in Fox Chapel. I sold it in 1996 and have been a sales rep for card and gift lines for the past 8 years. Rich and I enjoy traveling and spending time with our children and grandchildren.

Biographical Info: After graduation, which I missed to get to Penn State, I went into retailing, which brought me to Newburgh, NY, East Brunswick and South River, NJ. I went back to graduate school at Rutgers and got my MBA in 1975 and became an accountant both in New Jersey and then in York, PA. For the last 23 years I have lived in NE Philadelphia and commute to Center City.

I have been married to my Rosie, who I met at Penn State, for the last 35 years. We have a son and daughter. Our son lives in Brooklyn and our daughter lives in Northridge, California with her husband and they have given us a beautiful granddaughter.

Biographical Info: Upon graduating from Peabody in 1965, I joined the U.S. Navy. I spent the next four years serving on three different ships before receiving my honorable discharge in 1969. I then started a job with Bell of Pennsylvania (now Verizon). My career lasted 31 years and I am now retired. The year 1976 was both a good and bad year for me. I fulfilled a life long dream by getting my private pilot's license. However, in October 1976, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I was married in 1972 and divorced in 1990. My former spouse and I realized we were better friends than husband and wife. We are still friends to this day.

Biographical Info: On a professional level I owned an auto parts business for 27 years. For a couple of years, I was a partner in a used car lot! During that time, I also owned 5 video rental stores and now still have 2 locations. For the past 3 years, I have been selling the best-made car/SUV in the world, Lexus.

Biographical Info: After graduation I spent 5 years in a 4 year college, worked for Dow Jones and Co. in New York, and in 1977 started my own inbound telemarketing company in Omaha NE. 3 years later I had the privilege of selling it to American Express Corp. in September, 1983, my wife and I started a mom and pop video store. 7 years and 50 stores later, we sold our great stores to Blockbuster. I stayed on as a consultant for 3 years, then consulted in a turnaround situation for a trading card company, helped take it public. Biographical Info: I moved to Baltimore MD after graduation from Penn State University (1969). BS in Accounting in 1970. I married my wife Ina in 1975. I attended Johns Hopkins for Accounting classes and then passed the CPA examination in 1977. I worked for various CPA firms, Baltimore School System, Commercial Credit, T. Rowe Price, NIH, and Defense Contract Auditing Agency (DCAA). I have spent 28 years with DCAA. I have been an auditor, supervisory auditor and presently a technical specialist. I have worked at major defense contractors. Presently I am assigned to Northrop Grumman at BWI Airport (Balto MD). During the past 30 years, I have also owned my own private CPA practice.

Ina and I had our first child, Joshua, in 1982, and our second child, Laura, in 1985. Presently Joshua is attending the University of Baltimore Law School (1st year). Laura is a sophomore at the University of Maryland (scholars program).

Biographical Info: I feel as if I've had many different lives, all interesting. Academically, I received a BA in History from Douglass College of Rutgers University (including study in Japanese at Princeton and Japan), an MA in East Asian Studies from Stanford University, an MA in Sociology from Princeton University, and a Ph.D. in Social Work from Rutgers University.

In 1981 I married Bill Pervin, an Allderdice graduate, who was then a professor of math and computer science at University of Texas at Dallas. So I moved to Dallas and have been there happily ever since. We have one daughter, Hannah, who is entering college early in 11th grade this Fall. Bill has 3 older children from his first marriage, but no grandchildren.

I began my working life at the Carnegie Library (East Liberty branch) and college library. Following that, I moved to Boston and got a job as administrative assistant at Harvard University, saving up enough money to continue my studies in Japan the following year at the Stanford Center in Tokyo. I completed the MA at Stanford University with a thesis on Japanese Business Practices. After, I spent the summer editing for biochemistry journals and publications. At Princeton, I worked on several social research projects and parlayed that experience into a consulting job for the NJ State child welfare office. Later as a staff member, I worked for several years doing research in the Division of Youth and Family Services, particularly on foster care and adoption of children. In Princeton, I also was a founder, president of and later CFO of a non-profit health education agency, which lasted for over 20 years.

From there, I was recruited into the Ph.D. program in Social Work at Rutgers University, specializing in administration and economics, and completed my dissertation on Schizophrenia. By that time I was Assistant Director of an innovative residence for schizophrenics and also did consulting on non-profit management. However, I married and moved to Dallas, Texas where I began a training and development consulting firm with a nurse which supplied wellness and management training programs to businesses.

In 1985, I began teaching at The University of Texas at Dallas and soon became Director of the Internship Program, where I remain. Here I get to use my diverse talents supervising students doing internships in all fields. I also taught our core course in writing and critical thinking before moving to part-time faculty statua when I had my baby. Although I hold Texas licenses as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Social Worker (Advanced Clinical Practice), and Hypnotherapist, I do not currently maintain a practice. For community service, I teach exercise classes at a rec center and write legislative news columns for various women's organizations.

Biographical Info: After Peabody, I went to Point Park College in Pittsburgh. I then began working for the Joseph Horne Co., (later Lazarus) as an assistant buyer and later a department manager. In the beginning, retail was exciting and fun, but after 25 years and many changes, I was ready for something different. Since 1999, I have worked for PNC Bank in the Consumer Lending Division. It has been a great company to work for with lots of opportunities.

I lived in Shadyside for many years, but am now back living in the house where I grew up in Highland Park. Life seems to get busier as I get older and there is never enough time for all the things I need or want to do. I still play the piano and enjoy bicycling when I can find the time. I rarely see any former classmates and it will be great to do so at the reunion.

I'm married to a fundraiser and we have a daughter who goes to Pitt and intends to work in politics. From the time I left Pittsburgh in 1965, I've worked in the theatre in New York City, Ithaca, New York, Texas, Missouri, Oregon and Washington state. I've also worked as a drama therapist with the chronically mentally ill and kids in detention. My work with the mentally ill was featured on NPR's Morning Edition. I feel grateful for my life and happy to be here.

Biographical Info: After leaving Ann Arbor/University of Michigan in 1969, I moved east and attended the Boston Conservatory of Music to pursue my childhood dream of becoming a dancer. This path led me to Europe where I joined a British ballet troupe based in Spain; after two years, I realized that my love of dance was overwhelmed by my dislike of the lifestyle and I headed back to Boston.

Eventually I returned to academic life and received masters and doctoral degrees in counseling and consulting psychology at Harvard University. After a brief first marriage in graduate school, I met my second husband during my clinical internship at Boston Children's Hospital. Bob was a medical resident at the time and the most amazing person I had ever met. We spent several years building our careers and at the age of 41, I gave birth to the first of our three children.

As a psychologist, I was fortunate to work closely with Nobel Laureate (in medicine), Joseph Murray, who sponsored my dissertation. However, about 15 years ago, I made a radical decision to shift careers and became a partner in a consulting firm focusing on negotiation strategy and dispute resolution (long story, fantastic outcome). While much of my work life now is spent in corporate settings, I remain on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and one of its teaching hospitals. I immensely enjoy every aspect of my work life.

I live in Wellesley, MA, with my three children - Abigail (16), Michael (10) and Carter (8). We also have a Vermont home, where we ski, hike, canoe and ride horses. Unfortunately, my husband died almost 3 years ago of a brain tumor. Bob's illness took us by surprise and the fragility of life became very clear to me. He was both an accomplished physician and athlete but there was nothing that we could do to save him. I do see so much of Bob in my children and for that I am grateful.

Biographical Info: It's difficult to sum up the last 40 years in just one page, but here goes. In '65 I left for Detroit and Wayne State U. A year and a half later I came home and Herb and I married in September of '67. We moved to South Hills, had two wonderful sons, and I got my bachelor's degree in psychology from Pitt in '77. After three horrible Pittsburgh winters in a row, we decided to move to Florida in '79. (Herb had battled Hodgkin's Disease twice and that had given us a new perspective on life.) I went to work as assistant director (aka paperwork specialist) at a group home for handicapped kids. When it closed, I started substitute teaching. I subbed for 10 years! After several assignments as an interim sub, I decided to be a "real teacher". I'm certified to teach varying exceptionalities and received my master's in exceptional ed in the process. I taught in a cluster for mentally handicapped students at an elementary school and I enjoyed every (well, almost every) minute of it. Our plan was that I would teach for 10 years until our kids were out of college and then we would both retire and travel. Mitchel (34) graduated with a degree in architecture, moved to Atlanta, and married Mia. He started a computer business "just for fun" on the side, and one thing led to another. He now has a great position with Yahoo "selling air" as he puts it. He and Mia have a wonderful, awesome, extremely intelligent, beautiful, absolutely delicious son named Jesse. (I'd go on, but I'm trying to cut down!) They are expecting another baby in October. My younger son Keith (30) is married to Tara and they are expecting a baby boy in July. Yes, he lives in Atlanta too. Keith is an engineer with a company which is involved with real estate. OK, that's the good stuff. In March of '99, Herb was diagnosed with lung cancer. Despite aggressive chemo and radiation, my husband passed in October - 3 weeks after our youngest son's wedding. In the past five years, I have been working very hard to recreate my life. I really didn't know who I was without him - we had been together since the day before my 15th birthday. I am still teaching and I'm also managing our investment properties. I was not involved with this before, but I found that I knew more than I thought after Herb was gone. It keeps me busy. This year I took a slightly different position at the same school and I am loving it. I am a VE resource teacher, which means I have students who are autistic, LD, EH, ADHD…whatever. I have found that traveling alone is OK and you met some interesting people; that's what I try to do every summer. This summer it's Atlanta and Pittsburgh. Can't wait to see everyone!

Biographical Info: I actually only attended Peabody my senior year. I was a transfer from Central Catholic High School. I was treated well by the senior class, even though I was the new kid on the block. I have many good memories of being at Peabody.

After high school, I spent four years in the Air Force, with a tour of duty in Vietnam from 1969 to 1970. I actually married in 1967 to my present wife, Barbara Ann Caruso. Biographical Info: I live in Franklin Tennessee (a suburb of Nashville) with my second husband Ron (we're married 2.5 years). Biographical Info: I lived in Los Angeles for 25 years. I taught 3rd grade at a private school for several years…had children…and became a stay-at-home mother. My husband, Steve Zacharias, is a film writer/director, "Revenge of the Nerds" and several other credits to his name.

I later attended UCLA where I got my masters degree in psychology. In 1997 we moved to Highland Park (not Pittsburgh)…a suburb of Chicago, where I currently live and where I have a private psychology practice.

My oldest daughter, Alexandra, graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She is a clothing designer at the company OP (Ocean Pacific) in Los Angeles. Rachel, my next, is a student at a small school in Wisconsin. Jon, my last, just completed his freshman year at the University of Wisconsin in Madison.

Biographical Info: After leaving Peabody, I received a BA and did graduate work in English, married, moved to central Pennsylvania and taught until my children were born. My daughter, Jessica, lives in Princeton, NJ and teaches at a private Quaker day school. My son, Jeremy, lives in center city Philadelphia where he is the CEO of a company involved in the extreme sports industry, an entrepreneur, and in a serious relationship with Debbie, a fashion designer.

While my children were growing, I worked as a photojournalist focusing mainly on women's, children's and health issues, and as a public relations professional. I then became president and CEO of the Carlisle, PA Chamber of Commerce, and retired in 1997 from that job after almost 14 years. Since leaving the Chamber, I have been working from my home as the director of business development and as a writer/editor for a publishing company located in the Philadelphia area. I have also authored a book, Pennsylvania Bed & Breakfast Guide and Cookbook (Stackpole Books, 1999).

In addition, I serve as a community volunteer. My particular interests are women's and children's issues and the arts. I am a founder and past chair of the Central Pennsylvania Women's Forum, have served on the board of Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland County, and as the president of the Harrisburg Community Check-Up Center, a health center founded by welfare mothers who wished to bring competent health care to their families within close proximity to their homes. I am past president of the Theatre Harrisburg Guild, the fund-raising arm of our local, non-profit community theatre, and serve as a board member of the Harrisburg Symphony Society and as chair of the symphony's Designer Showhouse, 2006.

I have been married to my second husband, Lyle, a retired banker now working in sales and marketing, since 1994. We split our time between our home here in suburban Harrisburg and a lovely old Victorian cottage on Lake Ontario in Sodus Point, NY. In addition to my family, I love to read (particularly mysteries), walk, cook and dance.

Biographical Info: Graduation from Peabody took me to Carnegie Institute of Technology where I studied electrical engineering. Upon graduation I went to work in Pittsburgh at the Westinghouse Electric Research Labs. I also married Mary, whom I met and fell in love with the first day of school at CIT. While at Westinghouse, I completed a graduate program in biomedical engineering. However, by that time it was Carnegie Mellon University.

Mary and I left Pittsburgh in 1973 and went to suburban Chicago where I designed medical products. Our first daughter, Rachel, was born in 1976. By 1978 we were either frozen or baked, depending on the Chicago season, and we decided to return east to Connecticut where I continued to design medical products for the next 10 years. Amy, our second daughter, was born in 1981. Along the way, I was a co-founder of a small medical products company that supplies products to the neonatal intensive care and emergency medicine markets.

In 1988 I left that firm and began working in a small organization of Eastman Kodak that specializes in the design and development of products used by researchers in the fields of DAN and molecular biology research. I am still developing products for that company and excited by at we are embarking on the field of optical molecular imaging.

I didn't know anyone in high school who actually went skiing. A friend at CMU introduced me to it at Seven Springs and now I can report that I have been a member of the National Ski Patrol for 30 years. Each season begins with me wondering why I continue to do it, but the satisfaction of being able to help injured skiers is quite rewarding. I have also been singing with the New Haven Chorale for the last 8 years. I am still a tenor.

Upon graduation from Brandeis, Rachel taught for several years and married a college sweetheart. We are now blessed with a grandson, Jared. Amy completed a degree in vocal performance and music education at the Oberlin Conservatory and now attends Boston University in a graduate program for vocal performance.

Career: After graduate school in Philadelphia, my wife (a sociologist) and I came to St. Paul as VISTA volunteers to start and run a legal services program for low income elderly people, Senior Advocates, which is still operating as a branch of Southern MN Regional Legal Services. After eight years at SMRLS, I joined the faculty of William Mitchell College of Law for a few years.

I started on the staff of the Saint Paul Public Housing Agency (PHA) in 1985 and after 20 years there, I still find the work challenging, interesting and worthwhile. As the Housing Policy Director, I work closely with the Executive Director and other department directors to manage over 4200 units of HUD-subsidized public housing for families, elderly and disabled people, and 4000 Section 8 "housing choice vouchers". The St. Paul PHA is one of the top-rated housing authorities in the country, successfully providing safe, affordable, quality housing to over 20,000 low income residents of St. Paul. Our public housing units are in good condition and consistently 99% occupied, the rent write-off is less than 1% annually, and the crime rates in public housing communities are lower than the citywide average (which is also low). Biographical Info: Although my life since June 17, 1965 (our graduation day) is not the stuff of exciting autobiographies, it has been happy and fulfilling. Less than a week after graduating with a degree in music from Carnegie Mellon University, I married Michael Smith and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where Michael was an engineer at General Electric. I attended the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music for a teaching credential and went on to teach elementary and middle school music in Cincinnati until we moved to San Jose, California in 1977. By then, we were a family of three with our son, Andy, having been born in 1974.

In California, I continued teaching music, but as time went on, and as the funding for California public school music programs dried up, I became interested in Reading Education and returned to school for a Masters degree in Education and a Language Arts Specialist Credential. After several years of teaching at local community colleges, I joined the faculty of San Jose State University. I spent over 15 years at San Jose State teaching developmental reading and writing and preparing students in Education to become middle school and high school teachers.

Although I enjoyed being with my students and loved (almost) every minute I spent in the classroom, I retired in June 2004 thanks to a "golden handshake." I am now loving this new chapter in my life with my husband who retired from G.E. in 2001. I sing in the San Jose Symphonic Choir and enjoy reading, traveling, playing with our dogs, and getting together with friends. Our son is a city planner for Oakland, California. He and our daughter-in-law live about an hour away from us.

Biographical Info: After our graduation, I attended Robert Morris Junior College then transferred to California State College (California, PA) where I majored in Industrial Arts Education. I earned a BA in January, 1971, and taught for one year in the Cecil County Schools. During this time, I married my sweetheart from college, Suzanne. Biographical Info: Today I am a wordsmith and rebel. But let me start with '65.
I fled Pittsburgh with all possible speed to Boston University, where I majored in sex, drugs, rock & roll and revolution. I received my Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do during the years I then spent in SF, where I opened a school for self-defense. I lived in Israel from 1977-1991, founding and running a martial arts institution that is still vibrant today, and working against the occupation of Palestinian territories. I earned an MA at Tel Aviv University.

In London from 1991 - 2000, I traveled the world promoting a transnational volunteerism initiative for youth and, for fun, performed and taught ballroom and Latin American dance. I arrived back in Boston in 2000 to take up a post as Executive Director of a nonprofit, but after a year and a half, I decided that life was too short. I quit to write full-time.

I've been publishing journalism and short fiction since the early 70s, but now I am moving into books. My topics? Sex and social justice. To make ends meet, I do editing (of other people's writing) and business writing (yes, I'm available), and I teach a range of classes, from writing to fitness for elders to salsa. I continue to be a political activist - I'm the Co-Chair of the Boston chapter of the National Writers Union.

Our 19 year old son Adam is our pride. We live in Havre de Grace, MD, about 25 miles northeast of Baltimore. I still have family in Pittsburgh and love going "home" to visit. Biographical Info: Every day I am thankful for the blessings that life has brought my way. Noreen (Rosen, Peabody '70), my true love, soul mate and best friend, and I celebrated our 30th anniversary in April. We have 2 wonderful sons, Brad (27) and Drew (24). Education for me was in Pittsburgh - Engineering at Pitt and Law School at Duquesne. After a year as assistant to the Chairman (a very high class "go fer") of Strick Corporation in Philadelphia, I moved back to Pittsburgh, met Noreen and began a career in Intellectual Property Law (Westinghouse). I have remained professionally in that field and managed the IP Law Department of several large corporations which has taken our family from Pittsburgh (Joy Manufacturing), to Milwaukee (Johnson Controls), and back to Pittsburgh (Alcoa). In 2003 Noreen and I moved to Minneapolis where I practice for Cargill Corporation, now (joyously) without the obligations of management. Life has allowed me to remain an eternal optimist (I still have most of my hair!). I have continually found myself drawn closer and closer to the spiritual side of life, and have found great peace through religion and continuous learning. One teaching asks, "Who is Rich"…and answers, "the one who is content with their portion". I am a very rich man.

Over the years I've become "Ed" Levine except, that is, to my relative and to those of you whom I bump into from time to time. I look forward to spending some time together and hat certain warmth that comes with hearing "Eddie".

Biographical Info: After high school, I attended Point Park Junior College and the University of Miami, respectively. I graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in Education/Theater in 1971. I returned to Pittsburgh and did substitute teaching, worked for the State of Pennsylvania and helped my father run and eventually liquidate his lamp company, Lido Lamps, when he became unable to do so on his own. At that time my parents decided to retire to Florida and I decided to help them with their journey and move to Florida along with them. In Florida, I worked for the State of Florida for 20 years. At first, I was employed by the Welfare and Food Stamp Office and then worked for Child Support for 15 years, helping children get their due. In 1986, I met the love of my life, Learto "John" Zaffiri, and in 1991 we married on the beach in Hollywood, Florida. We had a beautiful wedding with the ocean as our backdrop. Unfortunately, in 2002, John died of lung cancer, but I cherish the 15 years we had together. I retired from the State of Florida late that same year, 2002. After losing both my parents and husband, I decided to move from Florida to different scenery and far less instant memories. I went back to Pittsburgh for a while and then my friend, whom I worked with in Florida, invited me to come and be with her in Buffalo. She had moved back to her hometown after her stay in Florida. This is how I arrived in Buffalo. I'm now retired and working part-time at Wal-Mart to keep myself busy and enjoying life. I eventually plan to return to Florida.

Biographical Info: We've been married since November, 1968 and have lived in Tucson Arizona for 32 years. Ron owns a video/music store named Zip's. He used to run 16 stores but whittled down his responsibilities and has had time to volunteer as a policeman for about 15 years. I've done computer work or volunteer jobs throughout our marriage. Mostly, I spend time playing scrabble at my 2 clubs that I started more than 16 years ago. I also deal blackjack and shop for others. Biographical Info: A quick history: I spent one year at Slippery Rock State College, then joined the Air Force for 4 years. (One of my little items was supporting the Man on the Moon July 20, 1969. A small role, but it helped.) I was discharged in October, 1970. I started at Electronic Data Systems Incorporated (EDS) and worked there for almost 33 years. I had various technical and managerial positions dealing with functional responsibilities for regional datacenter operations. I worked in other areas of EDS, but will save the boring details. The last 10 years of my time at EDS I was involved with Process Improvement (process development, consulting, quality assurance, assessments). Since leaving EDS I have worked as an Independent Consultant for Process Improvement servicing a government program.

My wife Adele works for the Fairfax County Public School System (Northern Virginia) as an Administrative Assistant to a principal. Adele and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in February 2003. Adele is originally from Staten Island, New York. We met while I was working in New York during the early 1970s. We were married in Las Vegas on February 3, 1973 at the Little White Chapel. About 4 years later after Adele converted to Judaism, we were re-married in a synagogue.
